About the Author
Maxwell Morrison, M.D. is a practicing Emergency Medicine physician in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex in Texas. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with honors from SUNY Binghamton, he studied medicine at SUNY Stony Brook, graduating with a Doctorate of Medicine in 2012. He was also inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society that same academic year.
After medical school, Dr. Morrison pursued his residency training at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, in association with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. After graduating in 2015 he moved to Texas to begin his career.
Dr. Morrison enjoys taking care of the community where he lives with his primary focus and practice in fast-paced emergency rooms. He also serves on the stroke committee at Medical City Lewisville and works on promoting the use of bedside ultrasound technology in clinical practice. He is currently certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Morrison was born and raised on Long Island, NY to loving parents, and has five siblings including an identical twin brother. He currently resides with his husband. He is a dog lover and has two doodles. He and his husband recently expanded their household by welcoming two children into their home. In his free time, Dr. Morrison enjoys playing with his dogs, reading, playing piano, linguistics, and enology.
